Welcome to the Curaçao Dive Festival 2007,
May 26th – June 2nd
After the first and very successful Dive Festival in 2006 we are
proud to announce the second dive festival here on the island. All the
enthusiastic divers from last year made the CTB (Curaçao Tourism Board)
and us work hard to make it happen again! With more than 60 dive sites
surrounding its coastline and with 57 coral species and more than 500
species of fish Curacao is an eldorado for divers. Come and discover
yourself why Curaçao has been rated one of the best Caribbean islands
for shore diving. This years focus lays on underwater photography and
the CTB was able attract international highly ranked specialists to come
to the island and conduct seminars throughout the week. What makes a
journey even more worth it are the dives the participants can join in
every day to experience the beauty of our underwater world first hand!
All the dive operators on the island will be happy to welcome all the

CDOA Members
All Dive centers are invited to
be a member of the CDOA. As organization we represent the interests of
the professional diving community and are the leading authority on
diving related issues on Curaçao. The CDOA has been initially founded by
dive operators in order to ensure the safety and quality of diving
activities offered by professional dive operators on Curacao in order to
maintain, develop and promote Curaçao as a beautiful, safe and quality
dive destination. Besides the quality and safety the CDOA takes also
care of environmental and marine protection & its sustainable
development (diving sites, access to the sites, security issues at dive
sites). If you would like to receive more information about the
membership requirements please contact us. The next member meeting will
be on March 26th, Trupial Inn Hotel, Flamingo Room, 7:30 pm.
Dive for Earth Day
The Dive centers on Curaçao already proofed themselves very active
and sufficient in organizing events concerning conservation and
protection activities. Besides the regular organized clean up days on
various beaches dive operators also took part in Dive for earth during
the last years! The CDOA calls on their members and also on everyone on
the island who is concerned about the sustainable development of our
shorelines and underwater marine parks as well as the conservation of
coral reefs and fish communities. During the week of 22 April we want to
address specifically the threats facing underwater environments with
different activities. If you are interested to take part or if you have
a great idea for a specific activity please let us know!
